Young Kennel Club reunites past and present members

The Young Kennel Club (YKC) is inviting past and present members and volunteers, of both the YKC and the Kennel Club Junior Organisation (KCJO), for a special celebration lunch and tour on Friday 18 October, open to current members, YKC active volunteers and past YKC/KCJO members.

The YKC and KCJO alumni will have the chance to reunite with their fellow peers, as well as get to know the current Young Kennel Club membership.

Visitors will be able to experience the world-class Kennel Club Art Gallery and Library, and to see more of The Kennel Club art collection on a guided tour of the building, delivered by expert curators, followed by drinks and a three-course lunch in The Kennel Club dining room.

The Young Kennel Club has been running since 1985, originally called the Kennel Club Junior Organisation, and later changing its name in 2001. Since its inception, the organisation has seen notable milestones including a dedicated KCJO/YKC ring at Crufts in 1998; the inception of the Young Kennel Club’s magazine Fetch, in 2005; and sending the YKC Agility Team GB to the Junior Agility World Championships for the first time in 2016.

The tour will begin at 11am and costs £48.50 per person. Places are available on a first come, first served basis, so visitors wishing to join the anniversary lunch and tour must book in advance, and must be 18 years and above to attend.
